Pandora outside the U.S. with Vidalia on MacOS
This post describes how to set up Tor using the Vidalia bundle on MacOS Snow Leopard.
Saldy Pandora restricted usage to residents in the U.S. only. Using TOR/Vidalia, a pre-packed bundle for re-routing your internet connection, it's possible to use Pandora outside the U.S.
Tor is a software bouncing your data around a distributed network of relays. We'll set up tor using the Vidalia bundle for MacOS. Because there's a problem with OpenSSL at the moment we'll use a beta release.

Setup:
- Move Vidalia to your applications folder in MacOS.
- Run Vidalia once, wait till TOR is connected (green symbol), then stop TOR, quit Vidalia.
- Open Textmate or another text editor (be careful using textedit as it saves files as RTF sometimes) and open %YourUserFolder%/Library/Vidalia/torcc and fill it with the content you'll find at the end of this post.
- Add another text file and fill it with the content you'll find at the end of this post.
- Save this file as "tor.pac" in your user folder for example.
- Open Safari, go to "Safari" - "Settings" - "Advanced" - "Proxies" and open "Change settings" (button at the bottom of the window).
- Check "Autom. proxy configuration" (2nd checkbox) and select the tor.pac file we just created from your user folder. Save the settings with "OK".
- Start Vidalia and wait till TOR is connected (green icon)
- Go to pandora.com and enjoy Pandora.
